The new streetscape design will improve pedestrian and active transportation, encouraging walkability and supporting downtown vibrancy.

Project Update - April 2025

Construction is set to start in mid-April 2025 for the 99 Street Streetscaping and Waterproofing project and is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2026.

Work will be completed in phases, with Phase 1 planned for 99 Street between Judy Padua Way and 102 Avenue with waterproofing of the Stanley A. Milner Library parkade (subject to change).  

Traffic impacts include road closures or lane restrictions.

  • Centennial Plaza will remain accessible to the public.
  • Access to library parkade will be closed through 99 Street; access will be available through 100 Street
  • A minimum of one access and exit for the Stanley A. Milner Library parkade will be maintained. Portions of the parkade and some accesses will be temporarily closed.
  • The bike lane on 99 Street south of 102 Avenue will be closed for the duration of the project.
