The new streetscape design will improve pedestrian and active transportation, encouraging walkability and supporting downtown vibrancy.

Project Update - November 2024

The detailed design for this project was completed in the early 2024. Construction is anticipated to begin in mid-summer 2024, with expected completion in 2025. Work will be completed in phases, with  phase one planned  for 99 Street between Judy Padua Way and 102 Avenue with waterproofing of the Stanley A. Milner Library parkade (subject to change).
Traffic impacts include road closures or restrictions to local traffic only.

  • Centennial Plaza will remain accessible to the public.
  • A minimum of one access and exit for the Stanley A. Milner Library parkade will be maintained. Portions of the parkade and some accesses will be temporarily closed.
  • The bike lane on 99 Street south of 102 Avenue will be closed for the duration of the project.
