The City of Edmonton is developing a Strategic Plan for the Northeast River Valley Park.
This page is to serve public engagement to support the creation of the Strategic Plan, not the operations of the park. For information on park hours, amenities and event spaces, please visit Northeast River Valley Park.
December 2024 - Project update
Engagement is now closed. Feedback from this round of engagement will be used to finalize the strategic plan, including the guiding principles, as well as what activities Edmontonians would like to do at the park.
A What We Heard report summarizing this phase of engagement will be available in the coming months.
Project Overview
In September 2023, the City of Edmonton opened the Northeast River Valley Park after purchasing the land from a private seller. The City opened Northeast River Valley Park with the existing onsite amenities and is now looking to set the Strategic Plan for the park. A series of public engagement events will be held to allow Edmontonians to share how they use the park now and how they’d like to be able to use it in the future.
This project is not currently funded for construction.
