The City of Edmonton is developing a community park in Edgemont. Planning and design is currently underway.
Project Overview
The City of Edmonton is developing a community park in the Edgemont neighbourhood. The site will be the future home of an Edmonton Public Schools Kindergarten to Grade 9 school. In preparation for this school, and for the use and enjoyment by all residents, the City of Edmonton will undertake base level development of the park.
Park development will include grading, seeding and landscaping, sports fields, adding park furniture and shared-use paths. A new playground will also be built in the park.
Public engagement to provide feedback during planning and design will begin in spring 2024. A start date for construction has not been confirmed at this time.
Project History
The City of Edmonton is in the planning and design stage of the Edgemont Park project and the project team now has a recommended park design to share.

The project team will use the feedback received during this stage of engagement to create a final park design. The final design will be shared on the project web page in late 2024.

This phase of engagement has now closed. The project team will use the feedback received during this phase of engagement to create a project vision and to guide design options. The draft plan for the park will be shared in fall 2024.
