Changes to ETS Trip Planning Tools

Please be advised that as of June 18, 2025, ETS has launched a new trip planner.

ETS Live and ETS Live Bus Finder are now discontinued.

Five times each year, ETS reviews rider feedback, schedules, service levels and routes to ensure we’re providing the right amount of service at the right time. Starting June 29, various bus routes will have some service changes, to reflect typical summer ridership patterns.

Route Schedule and Frequency Changes

Starting June 29, the following routes will experience schedule changes:

Routes 1-100: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 31, 51, 52, 53, 55, 56
Routes 101-199: 101, 102, 103, 104, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110X, 112, 114, 116, 117, 118, 119, 120X, 121, 122, 123, 124, 131
Routes 500-599: 500X, 501, 504, 506, 507, 508, 509, 512, 513, 514, 515, 516, 517, 518, 519, 521, 523, 527
Routes 600-699: All school specials will be suspended for the summer
Routes 700-799: 701, 702, 703, 705, 707, 708, 709, 712, 713, 715, 716, 717, 718, 719, 721, 722, 724, 727, 729, 747
Routes 900-999: 900X, 901, 902, 903, 904, 908, 909, 910X, 913, 914, 915, 916, 917, 918, 919, 920X, 922, 930X

Updated route brochures will be available on June 29. Plan your trip early by selecting a date after June 29 on the trip planner or Google Maps.

Service Adjustments:

Starting June 29, Route 109A/B will have two route changes. First, this route will be rerouted onto Juchli Avenue in the Griesbach neighbourhood.

This route will be removed from the following bus stops:
- 6169 - 113A Street and 137 Avenue (eastbound)
- 6195 - Admiral Girouard Street and 137 Avenue (westbound)
- 6357 - Castle Downs Road and 137 Avenue (northbound)
- 6368 - Castle Downs Road and 139 Avenue (southbound)
New stops for Route 109A/B will be added at the following locations:
- 66156 - Admiral Girouard Street and 137 Avenue (northbound)
- 66157 - Admiral Girouard Street and Juchli Avenue (southbound)
- 66158 - Admiral Girouard Street and Juchli Avenue (westbound)
- 66159 - Castle Downs Road and Juchli Avenue (eastbound)

Secondly, Route 109 A/B will also be rerouted onto 167 Avenue to bring it closer to commercial areas and centres of employment.

These stops will see Route 109A/B service removed:
- 6403 - 130 Street and 162A Avenue (southbound)
- 6634 - 129 Street and 161 Avenue (northbound)
- 6651 - 128A Street and 161 Avenue (eastbound)
- 6685 - 127 Street and 161 Avenue (westbound)
- 6845 - 130 Street and 162A Avenue (northbound)
- 6868 - 130 Street and 165 Avenue (southbound)
These stops will see Route 109A/B service added:
- 6117 - 127 Street and 161 Avenue (northbound)
- 6401 - 127 Street and 167 Avenue (westbound)
- 6497 - 127 Street and 167 Avenue (southbound)
- 66145 - 128 Street and 167 Avenue (westbound)
- 6714 - 127 Street and 167 Avenue (eastbound)
- 6780 - 130 Street and 167 Avenue (southbound)
- 6821 - 130 Street and 167 Avenue (eastbound)
- 6829 - 130 Street and 165 Avenue (northbound)
- 66016 - 127 Street and 161 Avenue (eastbound)

Route 111

This route will no longer go through the Riverdale neighbourhood. Instead, it will run to Stadium Transit Centre through McCauley, Alberta Avenue and Parkdale neighbourhoods.

Route 131

This route will be cancelled and replaced with On Demand Transit.

Route 507

A full traffic signal has been installed at 40 Avenue and 50 Street which will allow this route to run more directly between the Tamarack neighbourhood and Southgate Transit Centre.

The following stops will see Route 507 service removed:

3249 - 55 Street and 39 Avenue (southbound)
3295 - Woodvale Road E and 38 Avenue (eastbound)
3353 - 55 Street and 38 Avenue (northbound)
3363 - 50 Street and 38 Avenue (westbound)
3406 - 50 Street and 38 Avenue (northbound)
3465 - 55 Street and 40 Avenue (southbound)
3579 - 55 Street and 39 Avenue (northbound)
3650 - 50 Street and 40 Avenue (southbound)

New bus stops for Route 507 will be added at these locations:

34667 - 55 Street and 40 Avenue (eastbound)
34668 - 50 Street and 40 Avenue (westbound)

Route 508

This route will be split into two - Route 508 and 527. Route 508 will now run directly from Mill Woods Transit Centre to Meadows Transit Centre. Riders will no longer need to transfer to get to these transit centres.
Route 527 is a new route that will replace the service provided by Route 508 in the Millbourne neighbourhood.

Route 725 and 726

These routes will be cancelled and replaced with On Demand Transit.

ETS will reassign numerous bus bays at transit centres throughout the city to help reduce congestion and increase safety:

South Campus / Fort Edmonton Park Transit Centre
- 702 Southgate will move to Bay M (#2709)
- On Demand Transit will move to Bays I & H (#2709 and #2708)
Southgate Transit Centre
- To ensure the safe movement of buses, Route 55 (Meadows) will move to Bay O (#2215) and Route 55 (West Edmonton Mall) will move to Bay D (#2204)
Mill Woods Transit Centre
- Route 508 Meadows will be added to Bay Q (#3917)
- Route 527 Millbourne will be added to Bay J (#3910)
- LRT replacement will be moved to Bay C (#3903) with a new stop eastbound on 28 Avenue by the LRT stop (#32444)

On Demand Transit

Starting June 29, ETS will be replacing conventional transit with On Demand Transit in the following neighbourhoods:

Riverdale with Churchill Square and City Centre as the transit hubs
Lendrum and Malmo with Southgate Transit Centre as the transit hub
Belgravia and Windsor Park with University Transit Centre as the transit hub

Routes 109A/B is being rerouted closer to Rapperswill and Albany so the following On Demand Transit stops will be removed within these neighbourhoods:

6214 - 119 Street and 167 Avenue (westbound)
6410 - 138 Street and 167 Avenue (eastbound)
6416 - 123 Street and 167 Avenue (eastbound)
66182 - Albany Drive and 167 Avenue (westbound)
6719 - 123 Street and 167 Avenue (westbound)
6821 - 130 Street and 167 Avenue (eastbound)

The following On Demand Transit stops around the perimeter of the neighbourhoods will remain open:

6354 - 127 Street and 167 Avenue (eastbound)
6401 - 127 Street and 167 Avenue (westbound)

New On Demand Transit stops will be added to Aster (12 Street and Aster Boulevard), Celebration Church, Christcity Church, West Meadows Baptist Church and the Edmonton Association of the Deaf.

Temporary On Demand stops are being added in the Gariepy neighbourhood to provide coverage during construction detours.

Construction and Detours

The 132 Avenue Renewal Project continues in 2025. This year, the majority of construction will take place in two separate construction areas: from 121 Street to 113A Street (West) and from 82 Street to 66 Street (East).
- Construction on the west side of 132 Avenue began on April 14 and will run until fall 2025. Routes 51, 106, and 625 will be on detour.
- Construction on the east side of 132 Avenue began on April 14 and runs until Fall 2025. Routes 106 and 626 will be on detour.
As part of the Baturyn Neighbourhood and Alley Renewal Project, crews are continuing to rebuild the main corridor of 100 Street, 172 Avenue, and 109 Street. The main corridor, which provides access to conventional ETS buses into the neighbourhood, was closed on April 27 and will continue to be closed until October 2025. From June 29 to August 30, Century Park Transit Centre will undergo construction to completely remove the concrete on the east side of the transit centre and replace the grading underneath with new fill. During this time, the east side of the transit centre will be closed to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Additionally, ETS Kiss and Ride along 111 Street will be temporarily closed for the duration of the construction to allow room for buses to pick up and drop off riders. As part of the Gariepy Neighbourhood and Alley Renewal Project, crews will be reconstructing the main corridor of 57 Avenue and 172 Street. This section of the road, which provides access for regular ETS buses into the neighbourhood, is anticipated to be closed for construction in July and August 2025.
- As regular ETS buses will not be able to safely enter and exit the Gariepy neighbourhood during construction, ETS will temporarily adjust service for residents so they can continue to access transit service.
  - Route 910X will detour eastbound on 57 Avenue, northbound on 178 Street, eastbound on Callingwood Road, and northbound on 172 Street back to route.
  - Route 918A will detour southbound on 172 Street, westbound on Callingwood Road, and northbound on 178 Street back to route.
  - Route 918B will detour southbound on 178 Street, eastbound on Callingwood Road, and northbound on 172 Street back to route.
  - Temporary bus stops will be placed at the entrance of the neighbourhood to allow residents to continue using regular service.
For the first phase of the Imagine Jasper Avenue project (between 114 and 117 Street), there will be changes to a number of bus stops on Jasper Avenue. Upon completion in the fall, there will be pairs of bus stops at 112 Street, 115 Street, 118 Street, and 121 Street.
Due to LRT crossing construction, 142 Street, north of Stony Plain Road, will be tentatively closed from June 11 to August 19. Routes 682 and 904 will detour to 149 Street.
From July 21 until December 2025, the southbound span of the Low Level Bridge will be closed for renewal. During this work, Routes 8, 500X, 511 and 523 will be on detour.

Holiday Service

Transit service is reduced on holidays and in alignment with public, Catholic and post-secondary school calendars:

On July 1 (Canada Day), buses and LRT will run at Sunday service levels and have extra late evening and OWL service.
During K-Days (July 18-27), there will be extra service on Routes 8, 53 and the Capital LRT line.
On August 4 (Heritage Day), buses and LRT will run at Sunday service levels.
