Hello Seniors Program
Hello Seniors offers community social services to older adults (aged 55+). Outreach and General Support Workers help seniors navigate complex systems and complete forms for pensions, government benefits, transportation, and housing. They also connect seniors to community resources that promote education, recreation, food security, and overall well-being.
The program can help seniors:
- Clarify their needs and goals based on readiness and available resources
- Navigate systems such as housing, food and transportation
- Navigate government benefits, pensions, educational and recreational programs
- Connect with healthcare professionals when needed
- Connect with supports to address complex issues, such as mental health, addiction, elder abuse, and social isolation
- Find reputable service providers for snow removal, yard maintenance, housekeeping, and personal services through Seniors Home Supports
- Understand decision-making tools and how to use them
