Drop-in Programs and Tours
Facility admission or membership is required to participate in any of the drop-in programs.

Seniors' Day is a 45-minute speaker session with questions that includes:

- A tour of 1 of our pyramids

Join us at the Muttart Conservatory for A Talk on Growing and Propagation with our knowledgeable grower, Stephanie. Stephanie creates all our unique and beautiful planters in the gift shop as well as propagation in our back tropical greenhouse!

Stop by Cafe Bloom to purchase a Happy Hour beverage and enjoy it throughout the pyramids! Cafe Bloom often has musical performances in their cafe on Wednesday evenings.
Bring a group of friends and play games provided by Muttart on the patio or in Centre Court.

Every Thursday evening we are digging deep and investigating new and curious things about plants and nature! Join us for an engaging experiment every Thursday!

Join us at the Muttart Conservatory Imagination Station to play, create and discover! This drop-in program is for children ages 5 years old and under, however it is accessible for children of any age. Equipment that encourages free play and loose parts play will be available for children to play and build with.
This program is not facilitated and parental or guardian supervision is required.
Ages 3-5 years (parent/guardian supervision required).

Come join us in learning more about the world of plants and pyramids through fun activities such as reading books, sensory play, pyramid exploration, planting, crafts, games and more!
The Mornings at Muttart drop-in program is planned for 3-5 year old children, but is accessible for children of any age that would like to attend. Parental or guardian supervision is required to provide assistance with activities.

Join us every day for a guided tour of the pyramids.
Guided Pyramid Tours run 20 minutes and are led by knowledgeable interpreters who know all the details about the plants and species growing inside. Learn interesting facts about various plants from around the world and the climates they grow in!

Planning a visit for a group of 10 to 60 people? If our Guided Pyramid Tours aren’t the right fit, you can choose a Self-Guided Tour and explore at your own pace.
Take your time to enjoy the stunning glass pyramids and wander through the beautiful outdoor grounds. The Conservatory is located in Edmonton’s scenic river valley, with easy access to nearby walking trails and bike paths.
While you’re here, explore the many outdoor plant beds cared for by our horticultural team, including specialty gardens maintained by the Edmonton Horticultural Society and the Edmonton Native Plant Council.

Join Sound Vibes for the Flow & Bloom yoga class at the Muttart Conservatory. This 60-minute, all-levels flow style practice will energize the mind and body.
This class is welcoming and accessible for all levels. Your instructor will offer various options, allowing you to adjust the intensity to your preference easily. The practice is accompanied by a live soundscape.
There are two different class times that you can register for: 6-7pm or 7:30-8:30pm. The Muttart Conservatory will be open from 5:30pm to 9pm for everyone to enjoy the other pyramids
Experience a Sound Bath in the Feature Pyramid at the Muttart Conservatory with Somatika. Step into the pyramid, where the sound vibration meets botanicals and florals. Creating an atmosphere conducive to relaxation and meditation.
The facilitator, Meghan, will create a soundscape featuring instruments, including crystal singing bowls, gong, monochord, ocean drum, singing pyramid, chimes and more.

Looking for some green dopamine? Come feel present, alive and grounded as you experience the benefits of eco-psychology with Emberwood. Step into the lush and vibrant pyramids, filter-free. Experience the stress-reducing and dopamine-producing activities from Forest Bathing, Eco-Therapy and Solitude Therapy. Learn about these fields of research by immediately putting their benefits into practice. Beat the cold of winter at this quiet evening of exploring self and nature - indoors.
Join us at the Muttart Conservatory for a beginner course on terrariums. This 1.5hr class will introduce participants to the pyramids at Muttart and caring for terrariums. You will then build your own and care for it at home!
Classes run seasonally on Thursdays at 7pm. Availability can be found below.

Muttart Conservatory is teaching gardeners to start their own herb garden seeds for the season. Come join the fun, we hope this class grows on you! All supplies included!

Time: 6-7pm
Join us for a 1-hour class designing your own hanging basket to accent your garden this summer! We'll walk through the planting and decoration of your planter and then tour through our Feature Show. All supplies included!
Date: Saturday, April 11
Time: 1pm and 2:15pm
Join artist Julie Drew in learning how to do basic watercolour techniques and create a botanical picture. Supplies are provided and admission to the pyramids is part of the fee. This program is for all ages.
Classes are scheduled once per feature show. The next class is Saturday, April 11 at 1pm or 2:15 pm.
Registration will open up on March 28.
