Preparing for Construction - February 2025
Planning and design has been underway for Glenwood (163 Street West) Neighbourhood and Alley Renewal since summer 2022. The Project Team has worked to create a design that meets current City standards, policies and technical considerations and considers public input.
We presented the final design to the community in November 2024 and now the time has come to start Preparing for Construction!
A What We Decided Report will be posted in the coming weeks, but you can still view the final design. Please note, public engagement on the design has closed. The linked document is from the previous stage of public engagement.
We invite you to learn and ask questions about construction and share your feedback and perspectives to identify potential impacts you may experience during construction.

Glenwood (163 Street West) Alley Renewal is scheduled to begin in spring 2025 and take place over one year (anticipated completion in fall 2025). The construction of the front streets of Glenwood (163 Street West) is scheduled to begin in 2026 and take place over two years (anticipated completion in fall 2027).
The Project Team will return in early 2026 to answer further questions and identify potential impacts you may experience during front street construction.
