2025 Decorative Crosswalks
While the Vibrant Streets program is no longer being offered, the City is pleased to continue to add vibrancy and celebrate diversity and inclusion by installing four Pride crosswalks and one in honour the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.
The four locations for the Pride crosswalks are:
- 84 Avenue - E/S 104 Street
- 106 Street - N/S 82 Avenue
- 103 Avenue - W/S 124 Street NW
- 103 Street - N/S Princess Elizabeth Ave
The selected crosswalk locations support the Pride Corner in Old Strathcona, highlight the rich queer history on 124 Street, and honour prominent same-sex architects Wallbridge and Imrie with the Princess Elizabeth Apartments.
To honour the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, the City is re-painting a decorative crosswalk at ᐄᓃᐤ (ÎNÎW) River Lot 11∞ Indigenous Art Park, 10204 Queen Elizabeth Park Road, with artwork by Indigenous artist, Lance Cardinal.
