Skating
Edmonton boasts numerous skating rinks, including attractive options in the river valley at Victoria, Rundle, and Sir Wilfrid Laurier Parks. Victoria Park features one of the city's 2 IceWays and a skating oval created and maintained in a partnership between the City and Edmonton Speed Skating Association.
The ESSA shares the use of the rink with the City to allow public skating outside of association hours. Rundle Park's IceWay offers a unique winter trail experience, where skaters can glide along illuminated paths winding through the trees. Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park's ice surface provides a new skating opportunity while William Hawrelak Park is closed.
