Explore the river valley, try a new sport, or discover your creative side. Make new friends, learn new skills and have a blast at a City of Edmonton day camp! We are committed to providing an inclusive, accessible camp experience for all. Camps are available for ages 4 to 17.

Registration for summer day camps opened on Wednesday March 11, 2026.

What You Need to Know

What to Bring

We ask that campers be prepared to participate in outdoor activities. We recommend bringing a water bottle, snack/lunch as well as appropriate and comfortable clothing and footwear.

If your child is registered in a City Arts Centre camp, things may get messy so wear clothes that can get stained.

If your child is in an outdoor camp, bring a hat, sunscreen and bug spray.

Food and Beverage

We cannot guarantee that food services within recreation centres, pro shops or attractions will be available. Please ensure your child brings food that does not require a microwave or fridge.

Children will not be allowed to share food and drink with other children.

Washrooms

Washrooms are accessible to campers and camp staff. They are managed and cleaned by the City of Edmonton.

Lost and Found

We do our best to keep the campers with their things, but it is important to not bring valuables to camp.

Any lost and found is kept on site until the end of the season. Check with your camp organizer (see confirmation email) to see if we can locate your item.

After the season is over, any items not claimed are donated.

Weather Conditions

Our camps run rain, snow, or shine, allowing you to fully experience the beauty and excitement of the outdoors in all conditions.

Weather conditions are monitored by our Program Coordinator regularly, including alerts, wind, and smoke. If there are weather advisories, we have indoor space set aside to take shelter in.

Withdrawal Policy

The City of Edmonton reserves the right to withdraw any student or parent who fails to comply with the rules and regulations, or who engages in any activity deemed contrary to the fulfillment of the City of Edmonton camp objectives. In such an event, the City of Edmonton will be owed the registration fee for the complete session.

We request that any children showing signs of a cold or flu stay home from camp. If campers develop these symptoms while at camp their guardians will be notified to arrange for prompt pickup.

Cancellation Policy

A full refund will be issued if the camp is cancelled by the City of Edmonton due to low number of registrations. Withdrawals or transfers are permitted without penalty up to 15 days prior to the camp start date. A $10 administration fee will apply if a withdrawal or transfer is requested 15 days or less prior to the program start date. If the camp has started, a $10 administration fee will apply, and a prorated balance of the program fee will be refunded.

Due to the nature of its programming, any withdrawals/transfers from Outdoor Adventure Day Camps within 72 hours of the start date will forfeit the entire registration fee. For more information, please read the Outdoor Adventure Experiences Withdrawal Policy.
