Construction Update - June 2025
The second year of Strathearn Alley Renewal is underway. Work will consist of removing the existing road structure, placing a new gravel base, conducting minor concrete replacement and installing new asphalt pavement.
This year alley construction will take place in various sections of the neighbourhood due to the required utility coordination that took place in 2024. To help prepare for the upcoming work in your neighbourhood:

If you live in the 2025 construction area, please watch your mailbox for construction bulletins that will provide more information regarding construction timelines for your particular alley along with contractor contact information. Those who live in the 2024 construction areas may see further work taking place this summer as related to deficiency repairs. This work may entail landscaping clean up and other miscellaneous repairs deemed necessary as determined through final inspections.

Garbage and Recycle Collection
While your alley is closed for construction, waste cart collection will occur from your front street or avenue. Residents are asked to temporarily relocate carts and recycle bags to the front of your property during alley closures for pick-up on collection days. Carts and bags should be placed in a visible location along the curb or back of the sidewalk, at which point collection workers will manoeuver carts so they can be emptied.
We recommend you identify your home address in the space provided on the carts to ensure your assigned carts are returned to your home after collection.
