Information on the City of St. Albert's proposal to annex approx. 46 hectares of land separated from the rest of Edmonton by the Anthony Henday Drive.
In early 2016, the City of St. Albert started the process to annex about 38 hectares of land from the City of Edmonton. In March 2021, the City of St. Albert amended their proposed annexation, which is now approximately 46 hectares of land.
The proposed annexation will make Anthony Henday Drive the boundary line between St. Albert and the City of Edmonton. This will bring land that is separated from the rest of Edmonton by Anthony Henday Drive into the jurisdiction of St. Albert for easier planning, operation and maintenance.
