The fees you need to be aware of when building or renovating a home.
2024 Planning and Development Fee Schedules (effective January 1, 2024)
These documents include:
- Land Development Applications and Servicing Agreements Fees
- Development Permit and Compliance Certificate Fees
- Building and Trade Permit Fees
(Note: The 2024 Electrical Permit Fees are part of the Building and Trade Permits Fees)
2024 Residential Permits and Fees Listing (effective January 1, 2024)
- 2024 Single-Detached House Permit Fees (effective January 1, 2024)
(These fees are for new, single-detached homes) - 2024 Electrical Permit Fee Range Estimator (effective January 1, 2024)
(These are the fees for electrical permits that are not paid for in the building permit application)
Safety Code Council Fees
The Safety Codes Council is an independent, regulatory body that provides safety codes oversight and inspection services.
Other Construction-related Fees
These fees support the Sanitary Servicing Strategy Fund (SSSF) which builds major sanitary trunks across the city, as well as the fee for construction that encroaches on City land.
