Roof Truss Engineering Requirements for New Construction Building Permits
Effective July 1, 2025, applicants must provide roof truss layouts and shop drawings authenticated by an Alberta-licensed engineering professional with the building permit application. This includes all Part 9 Buildings, such as 3 and 4-unit row houses, except single or semi-detached homes.
