Edmonton is growing and changing, and so is the city’s housing supply.
The city needs to build up as well as out to meet the needs of Edmontonians today and tomorrow. Allowing different types of housing at different price points for all stages of life will help keep Edmonton livable, affordable and sustainable.
A new standardized design initiative will help create more housing options to meet the needs of Edmontonians. The Alberta region designs have been reviewed for general code compliance and the City is exploring how to include some of the designs in a fast-track permit approval process, currently in development.
