Phasing and Activating Growth
The City Plan carefully considers how to phase Edmonton’s growth to ensure the best social, environmental and economic return on investment. Growth activation integrates careful management of the city’s physical systems and networks, balances the competing demands, and links strategy to budget. See The City Plan’s Maps 10 and 11 for further context on where growth is anticipated and how it will be activated.

These areas are recommended for investment before other locations in the redeveloping area (established residential and non-residential areas that have gone through their first lifecycle of development).
