Renting can be complicated. Our free Tenant Empowerment Courses can make it easier. Here’s how to register.
Approximately 1 in 4 renters in Edmonton pay more than they can afford on housing. An eviction can be a life-changing experience that can sometimes lead to homelessness.
The City’s Tenant Support helps tenants build capacity and be better informed about their rights and obligations under provincial laws. The goal is to ensure more Edmontonians can maintain stable housing.
Tenant Support can provide the following:
The City of Edmonton and its partners are offering free Tenant Empowerment Courses that can help you become a great tenant. It’s about building your knowledge and skills to help you find and keep your housing.
Staff from the City and Bissell Centre with expertise in residential tenancy legislation and financial empowerment will help you. You will learn:
