Worm composting, or vermicomposting, uses red wiggler earthworms to compost indoors. It is a great choice for people who live in an apartment or condo and want to compost.
To get started, you need a bin with bedding for your worms. This could be moist shredded newspaper, autumn leaves or straw. Add food scraps like apple cores and vegetable peelings. The worms eat the scraps and produce compost for your house plants, gardens and flowerbeds.
