Join us for exciting programs and workshops for the entire family this Christmas!

December 6: Make holiday memories as we bake and decorate gingerbread houses in our historic blue house from 1901!

December 11-19 and 21-22: Includes two 45 minute musical performances from the McDades, who have been a part of this special event for over 20 years.

December 13: Make holiday memories as we bake fruitcake, decorate wreaths and write letters to Santa.

Heritage Skills Day

Join us on January 28 for a day of good, old-fashioned fun! We’ll have activities all day to try in our 1901 Blue House and an interpreter to answer your Social Studies questions about local Edmonton history. Limited spaces available.

10-11am: Learn skills from the old days! Dip candles and learn how Mr. Walter built his log houses by trying it out yourself.

Noon-2pm: Get hands-on with history at the John Walter Museum! Make butter and scones, and learn other pioneer skills by trying it out yourself.
