Evacuation Support Location
The City of Edmonton is operating a Rapid Emergency Support Terminal* (REST) for evacuees from Jasper and Jasper National Park.
Location: Kennedale Site Building #2, 12814-58 Street (open 24 hours)
Services include:
- Registration and reception
- Parking
- Coordination of lodging and food allowance for Jasper residents and workers
- Coordination of lodging for tourists and visitors
- Temporary rest
- Washrooms
- Emergency clothing and hygiene items, if needed
- Small, pre-packaged snacks and water (meal service is not available on-site)
- Pet support (on-site temporary, short-term daycare available if needed)
- Health services (8am-6pm)
- Mental Health and addiction support (8am-6pm)
- Hope Mission (9am-5pm)
- Service Canada (8am-4pm)
- Insurance agencies (as needed)
- Canada Revenue Agency (beginning July 29)
*A support terminal provides evacuees with access to all the services they need while they are displaced from their homes, but then directs individuals to hotels for accommodation versus remaining on-site for extended periods of time during an evacuation.
