From major events to shuttles to increased bus and LRT service — ETS can get you there.
On Canada Day (July 1), all ETS bus routes will operate on their regular Sunday schedules, with additional service for the fireworks celebration. Capital/Metro Line trains will run on Saturday schedules. Capital Line trains will run every 15 minutes until approximately 9:30pm and then every 10 minutes until 1:30am on July 2. Valley Line Southeast trains will run on their regular Sunday schedule, every 15 minutes all day. Regular transit fares apply.
ETS will provide service to the fireworks at the Legislature Grounds on Routes 523 and 701, and from the fireworks on Routes 2, 8, 523 and 701. Three shuttle buses will also take people there. These shuttle buses will have “Government Centre Transit Centre” on the destination signs.

Tickets are now on sale for the ETS Historical Tours. This year’s tours will focus on The Edmonton Grads, a women’s basketball team who played from 1915 to 1940.
Tickets can be purchased online through Edmonton Arts Council Shops & Services Events, by phone (780-420-1757) or in-person. Tickets are $10 per person. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to Edmonton’s Food Bank.
If you use a wheelchair or mobility device, or plan to bring a stroller, please call Edmonton Arts Council Shops & Services Events (780-420-1757) to purchase an accessible ticket. Space for wheelchairs, mobility devices and strollers is limited on each bus.
Tours will be held Saturday, July 5 (9:30am-12:30pm), Wednesday, July 16 (6pm-9pm), and Saturday, August 9 (9:30am-12:30pm). Please note our June 6 tour has been rescheduled to July 5. Tickets for the July 5 and 16 tours will be available on June 9.
All tours will start and end at the Commonwealth Recreation Centre in Lot A, which is located on the west side of the building and can be accessed by entering off 112 Avenue.
Note: This tour features an engaging presentation and lasts approximately 3 hours. Due to its in-depth nature, it may be a bit long for young children to sit through comfortably. We encourage families to consider whether this experience is the best fit for their little ones.
In 1975, the first Dedicated Accessible Transit Service (DATS) vehicle went into service to provide an affordable transportation service within Edmonton city limits to adults living with mobility challenges who were unable to use regular transit service.
This year, DATS turns 50 and continues to be an important part of Edmonton Transit Service. With help from over 260 combined City vehicle operators and contracted vehicle operators, DATS provided over 930,000 trips to its riders in 2024. Over the years, the service has built a community between DATS and contractor operators, their riders and local community groups. Together, they help to enhance transit accessibility in Edmonton, as well as the DATS rider experience
We are so grateful to our DATS staff and riders, and are honoured to celebrate this milestone alongside them.
We’re excited to help Edmonton Elks fans get to each home game this season. On home game days, our Park & Ride buses provide direct service to Commonwealth Stadium from lots across the city.
There’s a new way to get around Edmonton! You can now enjoy the convenience of Edmonton Transit Service for a few days at a time with an Arc 3 or 5-day pass. This is a great transit option for visitors to the city.
Simply purchase the pass at an Arc vending machine, and tap on and off each time you ride. Arc vending machines are located at the West Edmonton Mall and Mill Woods transit centres and all LRT stations.
ETS Arc 3-day passes are $24 per rider, and 5-day passes are $30 per rider, a fraction of the typical cost of taxis, ride share or parking. Kids 12 and under always ride free with a fare-paying rider.
ETS Arc multi-day passes are valid only on ETS vehicles providing regular service. They are not valid on ETS Route 747 or regional transit services, including partner agencies using Arc.
