The employee experience reflects the diversity of our workplace and doesn't hinge on one thing. It's more than an engagement survey, or a respectful workplace directive, or leadership training, or safety programs. It's those things, and so much more.
The quick Employee Check-in surveys measures the employee experience twice a year between the more detailed biennial surveys. They provide an opportunity for employees to regularly share their honest thoughts of how things are going and help build a positive employee experience.
Employee Experience surveys take place every 2 years. These comprehensive surveys focus on the overall employee experience, particularly on our work to create a more diverse, respectful and inclusive workplace.
Since 2012, the City of Edmonton has supported the United Way of the Alberta Capital Region as its corporate charity of choice.
As part of the employee experience at the City, supporting United Way's programs helps build stronger neighbourhoods and communities in Edmonton, which helps to build a stronger city overall.
