Do I need to enable “Location Services” or GPS when using the Edmonton Valley Zoo app?

If you wish to use the GPS-enabled location services, your Location Services or GPS will need to be enabled on your Apple or Android device. This will allow the Edmonton Valley Zoo mobile app to detect your location and assist you on your visit to the Zoo.

Enabling Location Services

iPhone

  1. Go to ‘Settings’
  2. Tap on ‘Privacy’
  3. Choose ‘Location Services’
  4. Scroll down to Edmonton Valley Zoo app and change the settings to ‘On’ 

Android

  1. Go to 'Settings'
  2. Select 'More'
  3. Choose 'Location Services'

The Edmonton Valley Zoo has OpenCity wifi available in and near public buildings. The Zoo does not have wifi coverage throughout the whole facility. Locations with OpenCity wifi:
