Hot or cold, rain or shine, drop-in any time of the year for public skating, shinny hockey, open hockey, figure skating, or a registered learn-to-play Hockey program. With 22 indoor arena locations across the city, you and your family are just steps away from hours of activity and fun.
Drop-in skating opportunities are available year-round for members and non-members of our facilities. Helmets are not required, but are highly recommended.
Equipment not permitted during drop-in skating includes: strollers, sleds, hockey sticks, pucks, and balls. Please leave any valuables at home or lock them up at the facility where available.

Drop-in shinny opportunities are available at select facilities for “pick up” hockey. Full equipment is required, including shoulder pads, helmets and mask or visor. During the school breaks including summer, child/youth shinny is available.

Register online for your member/admission skating and shinny hockey spot. Use your membership or pay admission if you are not a member.
Advanced online registration is strongly encouraged for shinny as it fills up quickly.

At the facility: Check in at the front counter, indicate you registered and you will be given a wristband with a stamp. Proceed to the arena and check in with the skate monitor who will validate your wristband before the program. All validated participants can proceed to the change room.
Member skating and shinny is included in Benefits Plus memberships. Purchase required if you are a non-member. Purchase of skating and shinny admission gains you full access to facility amenities.
