For members of the media who cover City Hall on a regular basis.

The City Hall Media Accreditation process is for members of the media who cover City Hall on a regular basis. Approved applicants will receive a City Hall Media Card which provides access privileges to public Council and Committee meetings in the River Valley Room and Council Chambers.

Applications will be reviewed by the City of Edmonton. If your request is approved, a member of our team will contact you within 72 hours to coordinate pickup of your media pass.

The photo must meet the following specification:
  • Be taken within the last 30 days (Passport Style)
  • Use a plain white, grey or blue background (no patterns)
  • Head between the bottom of the chin and top of the head must be at least 1/3 the height of the frame
  • Head must face camera with full face in view with eyes open and clearly visible
  • No hats, headphones, headbands or head coverings (exceptions for religious purposes)
  • Taken in clothing normally worn on the job
