Walk a Mile in a Ribbon Skirt is an annual event intended to teach and share the rich history behind the ribbon skirt as a symbol of strength, feminism, and survival. Each year, the event invites people to learn about, understand, and help stop the prejudices Indigenous women, girls and two-spirit people face when they wear them in urban places.
