Profile for City of Edmonton Nakota Isga Ward Councillor.
Reed Clarke is a lifelong Edmontonian, entrepreneur and community leader with deep roots in the city’s west end. He lives in west Edmonton with his wife of 13 years and their two sons, Hudson and Ford. As a father, coach and volunteer, Reed is committed to helping young people and families feel proud of their neighbourhoods and optimistic about the city’s future.
Reed holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Athabasca University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta. His MBA project inspired the launch of City of Champs Apparel, a company celebrating Edmonton’s rich sports history through locally designed apparel.
Professionally, Reed is the former President, CEO and co-owner of the Edmonton Stingers basketball team, where he led the organization to national success both on and off the court. He recently served as CEO of Sport Edmonton, where he helped unify local sports organizations, facilities and youth programs to foster collaboration, inclusion and civic pride.
Beyond his executive leadership, Reed founded the Fresh Nets Foundation, an initiative revitalizing basketball and ball hockey courts in underserved neighbourhoods. This program helps kids stay active, build confidence, and feel a sense of ownership in their communities.
His approach to public service centres on listening, collaboration and delivering results that make daily life better for residents. Reed’s priorities include safer, more connected neighbourhoods, accessible recreation and renewed civic pride.
Whether coaching on the court or connecting with residents of Nakota Isga, Reed Clarke brings a practical, genuine approach to community building rooted in family, teamwork and his lifelong love for Edmonton.
