For those who identify as part of the LGBTQ2S+ community, Pride is about celebrating diversity and inclusion, increasing visibility, and ending the stigma. Pride is about how far we have come towards equality and how far we still must go for that right.

The Edmonton Pride Festival runs from August 22-24, 2025, with many events in Sir Winston Churchill Square.
In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Pride in Edmonton, the City launched its second Pride bus to help recognize the importance of unity, equality and diversity. As with the City’s first Pride bus, which was launched by Edmonton Transit Service in 2019, this bus stays in circulation year-round demonstrating support for the LGBTQ2S+ community.
This bus is wrapped with celebratory and inclusive pride artwork. The creative concept symbolizes colours and identities coming together to embody uniqueness and inclusivity. The design’s pattern does not repeat and has no hierarchy, representing the diversity and inclusion of all GSRM (gender, sexual and romantic minority) identities.
