Capital City Clean Up is a litter reduction and prevention program developed by the City of Edmonton to help keep the city clean, safe and attractive.
Citizens, community groups, schools and businesses work with Capital City Clean Up to make Edmonton sparkle. Clean up litter in your community, visit a Big Bin Event, support a non-profit group or explore our many other services.
Litter Supply Kit Service
The Litter Kits Service is now open for the 2026 season!
Each litter kit Includes
- 3 black garbage bags
- 3 pairs of nitrile gloves
- Contained in 1 blue recycling bag
You can also request a litter picker: limited quantity, while supplies last.
Registered Volunteer Programs
A safe and clean environment is everyone’s responsibility.

Note: If you choose to pick up litter on public property around where you live, work or play, please be safe and follow our safety guidelines.

Request your litter kit online by filling out the 2026 Capital City Clean Up Litter Kits Request Form.
Once you have submitted your request form, you can pick up your litter kit at any of the 17 participating City of Edmonton Recreation Centres:

Fill out and submit the 2026 Capital City Clean Up Litter Kits Request Form.
A representative from the Capital City Clean Up Team will contact you via email to confirm the support that may be available for your event. This may include assistance with post-event waste disposal.
Note: any requests for less than 25 litter kits and/or grabbers will need to be picked up at any of the 17 participating City of Edmonton Recreation Centres:
