Hosting grants support organizations with the hosting of eligible provincial, national or international recreational or amateur sport events within the city of Edmonton.
The City is currently accepting applications for 2025 events. Applications will be accepted until all funds have been allocated.
Applicants may receive a grant of up to 25% of eligible expenses for the event.
The grant amount is determined by the level of the event:

| Western Canadian | Up to $6,000 |
| National | Up to $6,500 |
| International | Up to $7,500 |
Applicants must be a registered not-for-profit organization for at least 1 year prior to the grant deadline

Applications will be reviewed and assessed at the discretion of the City of Edmonton’s Partnership and Events Section based on the general eligibility criteria.
Confirmation of funding will be provided to successful applicants prior to their event. Funding will be provided after the event when the post event financial report is provided and reviewed.
Note: A maximum of 2 eligible grants per organization will be considered for funding in the grant period.
